Wanda's Book Reviews

I am currently reading my way through a long list of science fiction and fantasy titles.  (http://www.npr.org/2011/08/07/138938145/science-fiction-and-fantasy-finalists if you are interested in the list).

Currently reading

The Death of Chaos (saga of recluce Book 5)
L.E. Modesitt Jr.
The Stainless Steel Rat Sings the Blues
Harry Harrison

Reading progress update: I've read 59 out of 304 pages.

Furry Logic: The Physics of Animal Life - Liz Kalaugher, Matin Durrani

I think others have mentioned the tone of the writing in this book.  I'm not fond of the trying-a-bit-too-hard to be funny style.  It's as if they think they have to cajole their readers along, so as not to be scared to death of physics.

I don't think most readers who would pick this volume up are too scared of science in general.

Points, however, for a cute title--I've catalogued enough books on fuzzy logic to appreciate this play on words.
