Wanda's Book Reviews

I am currently reading my way through a long list of science fiction and fantasy titles.  (http://www.npr.org/2011/08/07/138938145/science-fiction-and-fantasy-finalists if you are interested in the list).

Currently reading

At the Mountains of Madness and Other Works of Weird Fiction
H.P. Lovecraft, D.M. Mitchell
Doctor Sleep
Stephen King
Wise Children
Angela Carter

Reading progress update: I've read 172 out of 316 pages.

The Life and Strange Surprising Adventures of Robinson Crusoe of York, Mariner: Who Lived Eight and Twenty Years All Alone in an Un-Inhabited Island on the Coast of America, Near the Mouth of the Great River of Oroonoque, Having Been Cast on Shore by S... - Daniel Defoe

I read this as a comic (good old Classics Illustrated) when I was a kid.  Thought it was time that I tackled the real thing as an adult--I was surprised at how old it is!  And fairly readable despite its age.  I guess that's what makes a classic.
